Our story
Ornare The Label was founded in 2022 and is a proudly female owned and led business.
Co-founders Marisa Suter and Jacinta Capelli’s friendship spans back over thirty years. Childhood friends turned business partners, Marisa and Jacinta reside in the sunny coastal city of Perth, Western Australia.
Finding themselves on parental leave at the same time, with their newborns arriving less than 3 weeks apart, Marisa and Jacinta seized the opportunity to realise their vision of creating a fashion jewellery label which reflected their own personal styles.
Every Ornare The Label piece is designed in-house by Marisa and Jacinta, and so each design is heavily influenced by their shared Italian heritage, the natural beauty of the Australian coastline, and admiration of high fashion jewellery of the 80s and 90s.
Derived from the Italian word, Ornare translates to “to adorn, to decorate, to embellish”.
The essence of this word aligns with our belief in the transformative role jewellery has within our lives.

Each design is brought to life by skilled artisans who craft in small, sustainable quantities using high quality materials such as natural semi-precious gemstones, crystals, and durable gold and rhodium plating which exceed industry standards.
Many Ornare The Label pieces are handmade, and so like a fingerprint, they each bear their own magnificently bespoke characteristics.
